Deep Freeze Adds Support For Windows Server 2008

SAN RAMON, CA, November 18, 2008 — Faronics, market leaders in preventing configuration drift from occurring on Windows, Mac, and Linux machines, have introduced Windows Server 2008 support to the Deep Freeze Server product line. For years, IT administrators have been relying on Deep Freeze to make their servers indestructible by keeping their IT infrastructure free of system slowdowns and crippled functionality. The introduction of Windows Server 2008 support to Deep Freeze Server ensures that as IT administrators migrate to Microsoft’s latest server technology, so too will their Deep Freeze server protection. This release also introduces a number of bug fixes and user interface improvements.

Deep Freeze Server is ideal for IT environments where server changes do not need to be saved or where data is mapped to a Thawed drive. With every server restart, Deep Freeze Server resets the system to its original state—right down to the last byte. IT administrators are able to reduce the number of tedious tech support calls that arise from server software misconfiguration and corruption. Deep Freeze Server is also perfect for IIS, Web, and other Internet-exposed servers—server recovery after a malicious attack is as simple as a system reboot.

A free, fully functional 30 day evaluation version of all Faronics products, including Deep Freeze Server, can be downloaded from www.faronics.com. Faronics has also introduced Windows Server 2008 support to the Enterprise edition of Deep Freeze Server. The Enterprise Edition can be deployed and managed across a distributed LAN, WAN, or over the Internet.
